Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee

We need to support "OUR" PCREC officers by attending their meetings held on the 2nd Monday of each month. Details are found at their website http://pinellasrepublican.org/ then click on the "Calendar of Events." Here's an opportunity for you to support the local Republican Party.

The goal of the PCREC is to help put into office qualified Republican Conservatives in the general elections

New Members

We want to take this opportunity to welcome our newest Club members Carmen and Jacki LaBianca and Robert and Tina Haggart to our Club.

Reservation Committee

As it has been about a year since we initiated the Dinner Meeting Reservation program using the RCOGLargo1@gmail.com email account that is emailed to our members, we ask that they respond to our email request regarding meeting attendance. (Note the reservation email address has the number 1 in it)

PLEASE Respond To Your Email In a Timely Manner

The Reservation Committee members are charged with determining how many will be in attendance at the monthly dinner meeting. Our continued email request of you is to reply by email using a number from 0 to 10 letting us know how many in your party are coming for dinner. If you don't reply by the Monday evening before the scheduled meeting, the committee workers will begin calling you repeatedly to reach you to determine your attendance which is both time consuming and additional work. The only members the committee should be calling are those without an email address. Please help us with your email participation.

Troop Donations

When you attend the November meeting, let's not forget to bring your troop donations and drop them off at the sign-in table with Fred or Crista Belzel. We're continuing the Club's 2012 goal of collecting donations each month for our troops. Items to bring include any non hard cover type books, magazines for guys and gals, puzzles and paper and pens.
We suggest you can also bring hand wipes, tooth paste, and other personal care items for both the guys and gals. We'll continue our endeavor to support the troops this entire year. If you forget to bring the items with you, you can alternately drop them off
at the Pie Factory located at 12777 Walsingham Road in Largo (727 593-1884) where they will be picked up.
PLEASE SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS IN SUPPORT OF OUR TROOPS!

Club dues for 2013 were due in January!

Let's not forget to pay our dues for 2013 as January was the month they're due. You can pay your dues directly to Fred Belzel the Club Treasurer at the meeting sign in table at the January 21st. Alternately, you can send your check made payable to Republican Club of Greater Largo, PO Box 1594, Largo Florida 33779.

Changed YOUR Email Address?

If you change your email address, you'll need to let us know by email so we can continue to send you the NEWSLETTER and monthly meeting reservation notice. Email us both your new and old email address. Every month, we get notifications back when we send out the Club's Newsletter that one or more members email address no longer is valid. You can help us if you'll just email us when your emails address changes. We'll take care of making the changes to both the NEWSLETTER and Reservation Committees email contact lists. If you're NOT already receiving this Newsletter or the Club's monthly Meeting Reservation notice by email directly from the Club, please let us know so we can add you to the contact list.

May Meeting Speaker
Our meetings speaker will be Staz Guntek II, 19, recognized by Pam Bondi at the 2013 Lincoln Day Dinner as the youngest member of the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee (PCREC) and for his work in the 2012 elections. Staz will be giving us a recap of what the Obama campaign did in the 2012 presidential election, what we as Republicans didn't do, and what as Republicans we can do in support of Republicans in future elections. Staz put in countless hours in the 2012 election both for Mitt Romney and local candidates here in Pinellas County. Staz is a political analytical guru and loves being involved in the Republican Party politics. Staz is working towards a degree in Political Science at St. Petersburg College.City of Largo

GOP Principles

I Believe… The proper function of government is to do for the people those things that have to be done but cannot be done, or cannot be done as well, by individuals, and that the most effective government is government closest to the people.

I Believe… Good government is based upon the individual and that each person's ability, dignity, freedom, and responsibility must be honored and recognized.

I Believe… The free enterprise and the encouragement of individual initiative and incentive have given this nation an economic system second to none.

I Believe… Sound money management should be our goal.

I Believe… In equal right, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, age, sex or national origin.

I Believe… We must retain those principles of the past worth retaining, yet always be receptive to new ideas with an outlook broad enough to accommodate thoughtful change and varying points of view.

I Believe… That Americans value and should preserve their feeling of national strength and pride, and at the same time share with people everywhere a desire for peace and freedom and the extension of human rights throughout the world.

I Believe… The Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government

Message from Our Club President

The Republican Club of Greater Largo was founded in 1983 and is one of the largest Republican Clubs in Pinellas County, Florida.

Our Club is dedicated to promoting the ideals and purposes of the Republican Party and to supporting Republican candidates for public office.

We believe in America and what it stands for based on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. We believe in the Republican philosophy that we take control of our own lives and not be dependent on our government.

Through your association with this group of like-minded people, you can make a difference in your community. We are proud of the programs that we offer at our general meetings every month, which touch upon the issues confronting us in our daily lives. Our meetings also provide you the opportunity to voice your opinions and views to Republican elected officials and candidates running for public office in our County who regularly attend our meetings.

We work hand-in-hand with the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee to get Republican candidates elected to office during the different election cycles.

Lastly, we are proud of our club's support of individual civic projects in our community.

We cordially invite you to attend one of our meetings and find it to be an enriching and rewarding experience

Casey Cox President
